Abstract Works
The dance between my struggle with minimalism, while being drawn insatiably to it. My struggles with having an idea of a thick painting that turns into something beautifully thin, and owning that layered transparency and letting go of the original vision of luscious thickness. As such, for this piece I pictured myself and these struggles as the mountains I have been trapped within painting. I made my marks, embellished a few, and was done. This piece aims to honor the untouched space of the canvas that is left to hug the space that I've occupied.
